President Buhari approves the reduction in the cost of forms for JAMB UTME, NECO SSCE and the Basic Education Certificate Examination BECE.
The reductions of the forms will be effected from January 2019. The new cost of forms of the examinations include:
JAMB UTME N3500 (old price N5000)
NECO SSCE N9850 (old price N11350)
BECE by NECO N 4000 (old price N5500)
This was announced yesterday by the minister of education Adamu Adamu. He stated that the president directed the ministry to look into the reduction following the significant improvement in revenues being remitted to the treasury by the Education Agencies.
The council have also approved 11 ecological interventions projects worth N9.6 billion in Lagos, Oyo, Ondo, Crossriver, Adamawa, Bauchi, Jigawa, Abu Zaria, Kaduna and Abuja. The council also approved N14.7billion for ECOWAS biometric cards to replace the current ECOWAS travel certificate
